Cast Bios

Rob Dominguez (Joe Hardy) is a zero-time AriZoni nominated actor, and is happy to be gracing the stage as young Joe Hardy! Rob's favorite theatrical roles include: Gaston (Beauty and the Beast) Corny Collins (Hairspray), and Dentist (Little Shop of Horrors) to name a few. However, Rob's never been cast in any of these roles... yet. Rob was ACTUALLY last seen as The Young Fool in Mesa Encore Theatre's Big River. Rob has also been seen in various productions around the valley, including: Oklahoma!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Grease, Ragtime and West Side Story. Rob would like to thank his Mom, Grandma, Elly, Jori, Linda, Jimmy Shoffman, and Rob's dog Zelda for all their love and support!

Jori Mosier (Lola) is excited to be part of this wonderful cast of Damn Yankees!  Jori most recently performed as Violet in It's a Wonderful Life: The Musical.  Some of her favorite roles include Cat (Honk!), Claire (Steel Magnolias), Mary (It's a Wonderful Life), Snake (The Little Prince), Kate (Never Too Late), and now, of course, Lola (Damn Yankees)!

David Heap (Mr. Applegate) - David has appeared in valley productions of Big River, A Funny Things Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Christmas Carol, Our Town, Fiddler on the Roof, the Sparrow, Pride and Prejudice, and Calamity Jane.  He has trained at the Scottsdale Conservatory Theatre.  David practices law as his day job.  He has been married to Carol for 35 years and they have four children and one grandson.

Darryl Poenisch (Joe Boyd/Benny Van Buren) - Far from his Texas roots, Darryl is a relative newcomer to the Arizona stage.  After earning rave reviews as Sam in Mesa Encore Theatre’s production ofOklahoma!, he fell victim to the sophomore slump playing Judge Thatcher in Big River.  He’s hoping to rebound in Damn Yankees playing the unflappable Benny Van Buren and is grateful to Rob, Jori, and the rest of the cast for giving him the opportunity.

Suzanne Demski (Meg Boyd) - Bio coming soon!

Nellie Liston (Gloria Thorpe) is thrilled to play the role of Gloria in this production of Damn Yankees! Nellie is a lover of the arts and has been since a young girl. She's enjoyed doing high school choir performances and competitions, has played in several bands with various musical instruments and started piano at a young age-inspired by her dad as she listened to him play. Nellie has a passion for Film and is currently working on schooling towards a career in Film Production. She also enjoys performing on stage, her past productions have included: A Christmas Carol (Belle), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Wife, Ensemble), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Ensemble), Les Miserables (Ensemble) and South Pacific (Ensemble). Outside of performing, Nellie enjoys competing as a Figure Skater and also spending time with her family-who have been her greatest support and joy.

Skye Ayers (Sister) has appeared in various theatre’s around the valley. Her shows include Mornings at Seven (Ida), Carousel (Mrs Mullin), Cheaper By The Dozen (Miss Brill), Harvey (Vita), How I Learned to Drive (Lucy), Fahrenheit 451 (Helen), The Laramie Project (Marge), and Danton’s Death (Marion). She has also been in numerous original plays and in student films. Skye is a member of Theatre Artists Studio in Phoenix, where she has also been a stage manager.
